Dr. Kisi Bohn
|
Kisi has been riding horses for 30 years. She grew up in San Diego, California, where she competed in dressage, jumpers, and three-day eventing with her local Pony Club. She is a graduate "B" Pony Clubber. For the past 15 years she has focused her competitive endeavors in Dressage. She has competed in California and Idaho from Training Level through 4th Level. She has worked with too many horses to count of almost every breed, level, and discipline. Her training approach is to expand the mental and physical development of the horses where the physical development includes strength, flexibility, and balance. She believes that these fundamental aspects of training provide a solid foundation for any discipline. She constantly strives to have her horses respond to only a "whisper". Kisi also has extensive experience teaching students from 5 to 70 years old-as a summer camp manager/instructor, pony club instructor, and freelance instructor/clinician in California, Idaho, and Maryland. She clinics with J. Ashton Moore and uses a biomechanical approach to teaching whereby students become more effective riders by properly using the right muscles.

Paige has been riding and competing Hunter Jumper horses since she was 7 years old. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona were she took her horses to school with her to continue showing. She has competed successfully on the "A" circuit in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and California. In 2003, Paige received the Top 10 Best Young Riders Award in Arizona. Paige specializes in the training of the horse as well as the rider. She believes good riders are created from a solid foundation and always returning to the basics. Paige strives to develop a deeper connection between students and horses by teaching riders that learning to ride is both a journey and a process that begins long before a rider even sits in the saddle. |
